Turkey Mania

Madison has had a lot of fun Thanksgiving activities at her school the past few weeks. Last week she brought a turkey home and we were supposed to disguise him as something other than a turkey. I asked her what she wanted to decorate him as and she replied, "A princess!" So we made a trip to Hobby Lobby to pick up a few things and here is her finished product! The Princess and the Frog is one of her favorite movies so we made the turkey look like Princess Tiana.
She was so proud and we had such a fun time working on it.
Just another one of the many things I love about being a mom!
This week was her Thanksgiving lunch. The school provided the turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, and then the parents brought either a side dish or dessert. Eric was able to go and have lunch with her and she was so excited to have a lunch date with Daddy!
She made this t-shirt and hat! So cute!!! Ms. Katie is so creative. She asked the kids how they think you cook a turkey, and this was Madison's response..."You buy it and take it home to put in the oven. Then it tastes like turkey." If only it were that simple!
All smiles! I'm not sure who was more excited....Madison to see Daddy, or Daddy to have a yummy Thanksgiving lunch! We have been so pleased with the school and feel so very blessed and fortunate to be able to provide our children with a Catholic education.
