Friday after I got off work we headed up to St. Joe to hang out with family and friends. Friday night we had dinner with Eric's family and then went to the Jacob's house to catch up with our Floridian friends, Darrell and Nicki...oh, and Jesse, can't forget him! Kim was having a wine tasting party which didn't bode well with the pregnant lady, but I got by on water! They also had the Wii hooked up and everyone took turns playing Guitar Hero. I had never played before, but I smoked Darrell's sister Daniel...with a little help from a guy who kept telling me which buttons to push! I guess all of the music and the yelling got to be a bit much for Madie as evidenced by the picture below....
Saturday, the Bahr girls took off to Kansas City for Emily's baby shower, while the guys were left home with the kids. We headed down early and went out to eat at Ruby Tuesdays and then went to the shower. It was a lot of fun to catch up with Holly, Emily, and Travis since we don't get to see them very often. Emily is one of the four Bahr women who are pregnant! She's due just a few days before me. When we got back in town I took Madison over to my grandparents house for a quick visit, and then we met up with Eric at Shanin's house to watch the MU game. Madison had a fun time playing with Leah and the other kids. We wish we could hang out with them more often.

We got back to Lee's Summit tonight, and I've been working on fixing up our Christmas lights. We put them up last Saturday, but it was like Griswold's Christmas because only half of them worked! So, I dug thru the box of lights to find some replacement bulbs, and full strands that work. I got that taken care of and we're no longer the ghetto neighbors with the botched up lights! I also put lights on the tree and worked on getting some of my decorations out. It was fun watching Madison's reaction to the lights and the tree since she's old enough this year to realize some of what is going on. She kept trying to blow the lights out like a candle. We'll see how long the tree lasts or if I'll end up baracading around it!
