Since it hardly ever rains in Doha, they have very, and I mean VERY poor drainage systems. The average rainfall for the entire year is just under 3 inches. Since it began raining last night we've received 0.51 inches!!! I know this really seems like nothing in comparison to the spring rains we get in the States, but take a look at these pictures!!! Glad school is only down the road and the kids and I can stay home today!

So sorry about the rain causing the problems but happy you did not have to be out!
