Labor Day Weekend

We had a fun and relaxing Labor Day weekend. Friday we went to the Royals game with Christie, Skyler, Shanin, and Brandon. Even though they didn't win, we saw some spectacular fireworks afterwards.

Saturday was spent hanging out around the house with Grandma and Grandpa Hayes. Chip came over and we had a little cookout and he chased the kids around and we got to play outside.
Sunday we headed to Wathena for the carnival and to celebrate Grandma Vertin's 80th birthday.

The kids couldn't wait to hit the rides

Kealy seems so much older than 19months. She had no problem keeping up with the big kids! She loved this dinosaur ride with her brother.

I think the cars were Kaiden's favorite

A bunch of crazy women drivers!

Grandma getting help from the great grandkids on blowing out the candles! Oh boy!!!

Great Grandma with just a handful of her great grandkids! Too many to count!

Some of the grandkids

Leo and Delores with all of their kids, minus Brent who lives in Colorado

Goofballs!!!

Waiting for the parade with their buckets on their heads

It was an "oldies" theme

Kaiden with a giant pixie stick

An old Farmall tractor from 1939

Kealy watching the parade with her ice water and some candy

Putting on a pretty face for the football players on the firetruck. Man are we in trouble!

There they are!

The kids with their loot after the parade. They had so much fun, and it was great to spend time with family.

Today we had a nice relaxing day around the house. I went to yoga this morning, we ran a few errands, and got a little yard work done. LOVING these cooler temps. Back to the grind tomorrow, but at least it's a short week!
