This weekend was a busy one. It started off Friday night when I had to stay late at work for a skills check off, and then went out to dinner at Habeneros with my coworkers. It's probably my favorite Mexican place! Saturday we got up early, I took Barkley for a jog, and Eric got the grass mowed before we both went our separate ways. I headed to Zona Rosa to meet Aunt Reine, Mom, and Grandma for lunch before Robin's wedding shower. Aunt Joyce and Aunt Eileen hosted a party for her, and it was very nice. She got a lot of really neat things. While I was there, Eric took both the kids to his friend, Darius' house, for a BBQ. This was his first time of having both of the kids out, on his own, so I figured it would be an adventure for everyone! There were some other kids at the party, so I think they had a good time. After the shower, I was able to go back to Zona Rosa and do some quick shopping before coming home. I fed Kaiden, and then we all packed up and headed to the Lee's Summit Oktoberfest down town. It was pretty neat...they had some things for kids, but a little too old for Madison. We walked around and checked out the arts and crafts before stopping in a little diner for dinner. Today, we went to church and came home to relax and watch the Chiefs pull off a miracle win against the Broncos!!! We have a short week before we head off to visit Chip in Columbus.
I can't wait!!!
I found a snow suit on sale at Marshall's but I wasn't sure if Madison's would still fit from last winter. She never wore the pants, and only wore the coat a few times. So we tried it on, and sure enough it still fits!!! Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.....
Kaiden loves to play around on my Pooh blanket. He is really trying to crawl.
Right now he rolls a lot and does a little army crawl.
Tonight before dinner we played outside and Madie plucked one of my last flowers that were blooming. She's discovering her sense of smell and likes to smell everything now!!! Gee, I wonder who she got that from???
