Hanging Out at Northern Bay

We stayed at Northern Bay Resort in Arkdale, Wisconsin, and it was absolutely gorgeous! I already miss the cool temperatures. Our first day we relaxed and just explored around the resort. They had tons of things for the kids to do. First we hit the sand in the volleyball court.... ....Madison making a sand angel, lovely!
Kaiden doing what he does best, getting dirty!
Right next to the volleyball court was this HUGE playground. They had swings, even for big kids! I haven't had that much fun in a long time! One of the best things of being a parent is getting to re-live your childhood again!

After the playground and some lunch we headed down to the lake. This place had a nice family atmosphere. It wasn't crowded at all, and I can't say enough about the weather. Absolutely gorgeous!!!
Little Keakers first impression of the beach
Building a sand castle, not sure who enjoyed this more. Let's just say Eric ended up breaking one of our buckets trying to build a mega castle!
Kaiden was in Heaven. Sand. Buckets. Shovel. What more could you need?
Splish Splash!
We later learned that the water got it's brown hue from trees that grow in and around the lake that produce this brown substance called tanic acid. It's also known as the caramel coloring found in your sodas, tea and coffee! Interesting.
I love this one

Look at this catch!
The little punks were tired out after a busy day in the sun.
Next up, a train ride through the country!!!
