Party Weekend!!!

We had a busy weekend! It started Saturday with a baby shower for my friend, Heather. I was in charge of dessert and wanted to do something different, so I tried my hand at cupcake decorating. It was a lot of fun and I think I've found a new hobby!!! The shower was at Heather's house, so my friend who helped plan the shower, Vanessa, and I headed up early to get everything set up. This also gave me the perfect excuse to purchase the cupcake stand I'd been wanting!
The shower turned out great and was a lot of fun. She got a lot of cute things and I'm anxiously awaiting the arrival of baby Drew anytime between now and the 19th of March!
While I was partying at Heather's, Mom, Dad, and Chip were at my house, helping Eric with the kids, and Mom was cooking Dad's birthday dinner. Hard to believe the old man is 60 now! He sure doesn't look it. In less than two months I'll be able to say that he's twice as old as me! Mom fixed a great dinner, beef stroganoff, salad, rolls, broccoli, and she made a sinful chocolate cake for dessert. Chip, Eric, and I couldn't wait to give Dad his gift...Eric wrote him a poem (how romantic) telling him about the golf trip we planned for him to take to Phoenix with the boys. He was really surprised!
The Seilers were in town and they were able to bring Grandma down to join us for dinner. It was so great to get to see them and to hear about their fabulous trip to Rome! Of course, they had to get their snuggles in with little Kealy!
Kealy and her favorite UJ...right before she had a big blow out in her pants! I tried to tell him the rules are, if she poops while you're holding her you get to change her. He didn't seem to think that applied to him!
After presents Mom sliced up the cake in ginormous slices. I couldn't even eat all of mine if you can believe that.
Sunday, the Bahrs came down to visit. We had a relaxing Sunday and the kids were able to get outside for some fresh air. I am so glad the weather is starting to warm up. I've even noticed some of my plants starting to turn green and peek thru the ground. I love this time of year!
