Airplanes

This has been on my mind for some time now, so I decided to blog about it. Most of you may know that my Grandpa passed away in August, but what you probably don't know is that he was a pilot in the Air Force. Shortly after his death, Madison became fascinated with airplanes. Perhaps it's a coincidence, but I feel that it is much more than that. Before the weather turned cold we would be playing outside and she would scour the sky for airplanes. When one would fly across she would get so excited, wave to the airplane, jump up and down, blow it kisses, say, "I love you airplane", wave good-bye, and then look for more. Sometimes she would spot them before even I would. Now she can even spot them in the dark when we're driving home. I have begun to notice just how many planes fly over my head each day. I see no less than 3 planes a day. Today when I backed out of the driveway one immediately caught my eye. I saw two more on the drive to work, and one on the way home. For me, I like to think that it is my Grandpa's way of telling me that he is okay and that he is always watching over us from above, and I am so thankful for the little girl who brought all of these wonderful planes to my attention.

Bridget -
I think Dad is truly watching over all of us and smiling.
