OHIO

This weekend, Eric and I shipped the kiddos off to Grandma and Grandpa's so we could fly out to see Chip in Ohio. We arrived late Thursday night and we were able to stay until Sunday. Friday morning we got up and Chip took us over to the campus for a tour and to see the hospital where he is currently working. The hospital is fairly new and seems really state of the art. We also got to meet one of the other residents he works with. Ohio State's campus is huge, at least compared to Creighton or Rolla's campuses. It was really pretty with lots of older buildings, big trees, and flowers. You would definitely need a bike to get around though.
We were able to sneak into the stadium to see the field. It was kind of exciting to sit in one of the chairs and imagine all of the fans screaming on game day.
(Well, it was probably really more exciting for Chip and Eric than it was for me!)
After touring the campus we grabbed a bite to eat at a little Greek restaurant and then wandered around in the bookstore. I didn't really find anything, but I couldn't resist trying on this buckeye hat and having Eric take my picture with this monkey!!!

After lunch we headed back to Chip's apartment for a little nap before going to his gym so he could beat Eric's butt in racquetball, while I worked out upstairs. He belongs to a really nice facility. They had tons of equipment and even a rock wall. I was hoping to try that out, but it was closed at the time that we were there.

Later that evening we went to dinner and a show at the Funny Bone. Eric and I have never been to a comedy club, but we had a lot of fun and hope to be able to go more often in KC.
