Early Christmas

Last night, Eric, Madie, Barks, and I celebrated our own little family Christmas before we head up to St. Joe this morning. Barkley got a soccer ball, and at first, Madison was more interested in that than any wrapped present I tried to give her. Barkley was really good about sharing! Once we got her interested in unwrapping she would do it, but then wanted to play with the toy she unwrapped for a little while. I think it took us an hour to unwrap 4 presents!!! Glad I didn't wrap any more! The rest will come from Santa....She got a bath toy from Daddy, her first purse with accessories from Mommy, a baby brother baby doll and an Elmo musical ride on toy from Santa.

After all of the presents were opened we had fun watching Griswold's Christmas and just playing in the boxes! I think so far her favorite thing by far, besides Barkley's soccer ball, was the ride on toy. Although I was really happy when she opened the baby doll and said, "BABY!" Hopefully this will help with the transition into being a big sister.

Eric and I tried not to spend too much on each other this year since we are working on finishing the basement. He got me a label maker and a cozy pink robe. I was feeling bad about not getting him much until he told me that he was going to Best Buy later that evening to purchase his entertainment center for the new basement! When he finally got home I knew it was better than any gift I could've gotten for him. He was so excited!!! It was even more humorous this morning when he admitted that the blue ray DVD player he bought is also a Playstation 3!!!
