Today is Eric's 26th Birthday! I think he had a pretty good day. He went out to lunch at Boudreau's yesterday with his co-workers, and today they had DQ ice cream cake for a treat. Guess who else got him an ice cream cake...
Needless to say, we'll be eating DQ cake for a while, but nobody is complaining! Chip is coming over tomorrow night to babysit Madie so we can go out to dinner. We're going to try this restaurant called V's. A guy Eric works with, his parents own it, and I hear they have a dessert called Chocolate Suicide that sounds like it's right up my alley.
My ultrasound today seemed to be fine. The tech didn't say much, except that she has to take some measurements and then send the results to the doctor. I did some research and the way they calculate how much fluid you have is by measuring the largest pockets of fluid in four sections of your uterus and then adding them together to see where you rate on the amniotic fluid index (AFI). We did find out that Kaiden is indeed still a boy, and I believe this was the most interesting part to Eric! We also got a good view of his legs and they look to be long! (also good news) The tech even said he looked like he would be tall. He weighs about 1lb right now, and he doesn't seem to like having his picture taken. He was squirming around like crazy which didn't help my full bladder. I want to have a 3D ultrasound sometime next month, and they'll give me a CD with pictures so I can post them on our blog. I think we're going to watch a movie now and Eric is dropping hints that a back rub would be the perfect way to end his birthday. I told him anytime he wants to get started on my back would be fine!
