I have been planning a trip to Rolla for what seems like forever! It's hard to believe that it's been over a year since I've been there! I wasn't sure if we were going to make it because Madie came down with a little virus on Friday and was running a fever, and had diarrhea. I was really upset, but kept hoping and praying that she would feel better. Saturday her fever was gone so I decided to make a go of it. It poured down rain for the majority of the trip, but we made it safe and sound to the Page residence around 12:30 on Saturday. We grabbed a quick bite to eat and then headed to the Old Iron Works in St. James.
We met up with Larry and Joyce Garms. Larry used to be a patient of mine in Cardiac Rehab. We walked around, looking at the craft booths and taking in the sites and sounds of fall. I was hoping that more of the leaves would be changing, but it was still beautiful. We all found a treat we couldn't live without! Madie and I shared a funnel cake, while Keri chowed down on this giant ol' Turkey leg!
Madison and Kameron got along great, and it was so much fun watching them play together. Kameron was fascinated with Madie's hair...she loved playing with it, and then grabbing her booty as she crawled away. I think they really enjoyed having a little playmate. Emily, Kami's big sister was a big help with Madison. She helped me give her a bath on Sunday, and had a fun time playing with Madie as well. She's a great helper.

Sunday we met some friends from the hospital for lunch at my favorite place, Sybill's, in St. James. By far the best part was the dessert...chocolate lava cake! To die for!!!! I could eat that every day. After lunch we all went home and took a nap and then headed to the Centre for some fun in the pool. Madison loved playing with the water works, and sliding down the big frog's tongue.
Monday morning we lounged around in our PJ's and let the girls play before packing up and heading to the hospital for one last visit with friends. Things have changed a lot since I left. The medical office building is complete, and the spot where we once had Cardiac Rehab is unrecognizable. A few of the patients were there, and it was great to get to see them, and for them to finally meet my little Madison. We had a wonderful time hanging out with Will, Keri, Emily, and Kameron. It was nice to be able to go back for a visit, and although I really miss that place, and all of the friends that I still have there, it was nice to come home to Eric and Barkley.
