Qatar International Food Festival

A couple of weeks ago we attended the Qatar International Food Festival held at the Museum of Islamic Art (MIA Park)  This was their 5th year and the theme was healthy food, traditional Qatari dishes, and a sampling of the many 5 star restaurants in Qatar.  (David Hayes, are you reading this???  You need to get out here!)
The first stall we walked up to was for an Indian restaurant.  This gentleman was sitting out front making bangles.  It was really interesting to watch.
LOVE the view of West Bay from the park
 All lit up
This is the Museum of Islamic Art - we haven't actually made it inside, but we've been to the park several times now.  It's very nice!
For the right price we could've dined up here, at a table hoisted from a large crane.  Too bad we're both afraid of heights!

While Eric went and checked out the food we had two women come by and offer to do some henna tattoos for the kids.  It was very interesting to watch.  It looked like they were squeezing frosting from a tube.  Once it dries you flake it off, and ta-da, you have a henna tattoo!
How proud does this kid look?! TUFF!!!

Enjoying our yummy food!  We had everything from sushi to fish sticks, to some delicious nachos!

Lots of interesting entertainment as well.  These guys did some awesome break dancing!  I kept waiting to see if they wanted me to break out the coffee grinder!
Another unique Qatar experience in the books!
