Thursday evening we attended the championship game of the Al Kass Cup. Al Kass is an international sports broadcasting station in Doha. They hosted this tournament for club level soccer teams from around the globe. There was even a team from Chicago here! The tourney was free to attend and was held at the Aspire soccer complex near our house.
The two teams in the finals were New Madrid (white) and Aspire International (blue)
We arrived at half time and was able to nab seats on the front row! The score was 1-0 up until the last minute when New Madrid scored on a penalty kick. The game ended with Aspire International winning in OT during a penalty kick shootout! It was very exciting!
They were giving out prizes for the craziest dressed fan!
The kids loved the game!
