Faulkners Pumpkin Patch

Wednesday, the kids had their first school field trip of the year to Faulkners Pumpkin Patch. I was able to sneak away from work to spend some time with them. It was a gorgeous fall morning, and the kids were so excited!!!
I spent the first half of the morning with Madison and her class. She is always so happy to have me come to her special events. I remember how proud I felt when my Mom would come, and I always knew that I wanted to try and participate in my kids school activities.
Madie and her classmates in front of Bugsy the caterpillarStory time - we read a book about how pumpkins grow
Afterwards they were given they had to put the growing process in order...they did a really great job!
Next we took a walk thru a maze looking for scarecrows!
Madison, Julia, and BlaiseAnother class shot in front of the mazeI loved these characters from the Wizard of Oz in front of the mazeNext I hung out with Kaiden's friends. They also had a turn thru the mazeHe loved pretending to drive the school busKaiden's classmates - can you pick him out from the rest of the pumpkins?!?!By far his favorite part was playing in the corn with the tractors. As soon as Ms. Kim told them they could go play he headed straight for it!"Hey Mom, check out this huge, giant, tractor!"Poor kid ended up falling on his booty coming out of the corn. No worries, big sis was there to give him a hug and they were able to enjoy lunch together.
