Sickness has struck our house this past week. Last Wednesday, Kealy started getting diarrhea. It was really bad on Thursday and Sandra called for us to come and get her. When I got home Thursday night her poor bottom was on fire. It was the worst case of diaper rash I had ever seen. Friday I stayed home with her, and she still had some diarrhea, but it seemed to be improving. By Sunday the diarrhea was gone, but she started vomiting and running a fever. So after church we made a trip to urgent care. They gave me something for the diaper rash, and said she has a virus and it will have to run it's course, but that if she wasn't better in a few days to bring her back. The fever was persistent and she wasn't eating or drinking much. We were keeping track of her fluid intake and wet diapers, but I was nervous. She still had a fever on Tuesday so we went back to urgent care. They cathed her to see if she has a UTI. Let's just say that it's never a pleasant experience having to put your little one thru that. We had to do that with Madison twice because she had a UTI. Thankfully, Kealy does not. I am pleased to report that today she is doing much better and is slowly getting back to her usual self. However, I did end up coming down with the virus and it has completely wiped me out. Today was the first time that I could eat something since dinner on Monday. My Mom was able to come down today to watch Kealy so that I could rest up. She has been such a blessing and I am so thankful that she is able to come to our rescue when we need her. THANKS MOM!!!!
