Home From Ohio

Last week, Eric and I flew out to Ohio to hang out with Chip before moving him back to KC. Sunday we attended a Reds/Cardinals game at the Great American Ballpark nestled in the heart of downtown Cincinnati next to the Ohio River. The weather was perfect, the stadium was beautiful, and we had great seats. Our only problem was the annoying drunk man sitting in front of us. I really thought I was going to get into a fight with him! Finally the usher came down and said something to him. It was a great game, and another Cardinals win!!! I was surprised at how many fans were wearing Cardinals red, probably at least half. So we felt right at home. Mom really wanted her picture in front of this big ball and bat. Chip was able to snap this sweet picture of the 3 of us.
Tuesday we checked out the Columbus zoo, rated #1 in the country! Now I know in the past the Omaha zoo has been rated #1, and it is an excellent zoo, but this one was also right up there. It might be just a hair better! We had another perfect day weather-wise, and really enjoyed seeing the animals. We must've watched these monkeys for 20 minutes. The little baby one in the front was such a character, and everyone was picking on the poor guy!

The Columbus zoo is also known as Jack Hanna's zoo. You may have seen him on Good Morning America, or The Late Show. Mom really thought we would see him at the zoo, and that became the joke for the day. Every time someone in a tan shirt walked by Chip or Eric would say, "there's Jack!" and Mom would turn and look, "where!" It never got old!
I think most everyone knows how close I am to my brother and I can't tell you how happy I am to have him back in KC, and even though he will never admit it, I know he is happy to be home with us too! Love you brother!!!!
