40 Days of Grace - Day 17

-Sudafed, Surprises, and Chocolate Chip Cookies.


I had one of the longest days I've had in a while today. My parents and I set out this morning to fly from KC to Columbus, OH to surprise my brother for his birthday. He didn't know that I was coming, and I was so excited to surprise him. Our flight was late leaving KC, and we kept getting delayed in Milwaukee, and then our flight was canceled, and we were re-booked for the last flight of the night. By now my Sudafed had worn off, my ears and head felt like they were going to explode, but it was totally worth it. Did I mention that we flew Midwest. The airline known for it's warm chocolate chip cookies, and soon to be worst flight experience ever. We didn't even get our cookies on our first flight. I had to sit there for an hour smelling them, and no cookies.

12 hours, 2 warm chocolate chip cookies later, we landed in Columbus. I snuck into the front seat of Chip's car when he was helping my parents load the luggage and surprised him for his birthday. He was genuinely surprised, and I was so excited to see him. I have been waiting for this day for almost 2 months now!
