Baking Cookies

Today we were hoping to be able to travel to St. Joe to bake cookies with my Mom and Grandma. I was closely watching the weather and thought we would be able to make it until we had about 20 minutes of freezing rain before we left. I had the car packed up, kids loaded in, and was inching my way up the hill from our subdivision. When I turned the corner there was a car half-way on top of the medium with a nasty looking crooked tire! OUCH!!! We inched closer to HWY 50 and I saw a car do a 360 and end up facing the opposite direction. By this time we were already heading down the on-ramp. We went about 2 miles, saw several more cars off the road and turned around to come home. I was really disappointed, but knew it was the smart thing to do. So, Madie and I set up shop in the kitchen to do our own cookie baking. She did a pretty good job and didn't eat too much raw dough. It looks like I might get tomorrow off if the weather is still bad, and we can try and venture home a little earlier hopefully. YUMMY!!! I love powdered sugar!

I just get to watch and hold this empty tablespoon for now.
She's showing off her cookie arranging skills.
