Looonnggg Night
Well, we got to the ER a little after 500PM. They took my vitals, and then we had to sit and wait for a bed. At 530PM I started having contractions, maybe it was the whole idea of finally being at the hospital. They were coming every 4-6 minutes, I told the nurse and they decided to move me up to OB around 700PM. When we got settled in our room they hooked me up to the monitor to check Kaiden's heart rate and monitor the contractions. They checked to see if I was dilated, and I wasn't, but I was 50% efaced. Our nurse, Holly, called the doctor on-call to see what she wanted to do. She ordered IV antibiotics, CBC, and urine analysis. My fever was still running around 100.5 and finally at about 945PM I got some more Tylenol and a little box lunch. They wanted to keep me for 4 more hours for observation and to see if the fever would break. Meanwhile, I was still having contractions that were about 2-3 minutes apart and getting stronger. I kept telling Eric, "I didn't sign up for this. I'm supposed to come in, get an epidural, have a c-section and be done." He asked me if I was mad at him, and I just smiled and said no. He's such a good little male nurse to me. He gets me whatever I ask for and is constantly trying to keep me comfortable. I don't know how people can lay in a hospital bed for days upon days. I was only there for a few hours and my butt and hips were getting so sore. I tried to change positions every hour, but that was a bit of a challenge when you're hooked up to all these wires and I really didn't want to pull that IV out. Finally at around 1230AM the fever started to break because I started to get really hot and sweaty. They let us go home a little after 200AM. At 500AM I woke up with the chills again, and my fever was 99. I took a Tylenol and it has come down. My Mom is here helping out with Madie and we plan on just relaxing today. Little Madie had a fever this morning, so I'm glad we kept her home. I think we need to stay quarantined until all of these illnesses pass us. As for now...no baby...we'll see if I can hold out 'til March 5th!

Shanin gave me your blog link. You look adorable! I can't wait for the little one to be born so we can finalize a photo session.
