Our second week home proved to be a busy one. Larry and Paula came down last Sunday to watch the Superbowl. She also had gifts for the kids...
Madie had been eyeing cousin Leah's roller skates at Christmas time, so Grandma got her some Dora skates and she absolutely loves them! She'll need some more practice to get the hang of it, but there's nothing like skating around the kitchen in your underwear and brown dress shoes!
Kaiden got a little Thomas the Train track that he loves! Anything with wheels seems to keep him happy. Tuesday Eric and I took off for Omaha, and Paula stayed home with Madison and
Kaiden. It made things easier on us and we really appreciate her being able to do this.
Friday, Gracie, Michelle, and Christie came down to visit. The kids had fun playing and sitting in the Cars "couch" (as
Madie calls it) watching movies.
I'm not sure who kept who busy in the kitchen this past week, but
Madie enjoyed helping Grandma make both chocolate chip and chocolate pixie cookies both of which are not helping my waist-line slim down any quicker. She also helped Grandma make one of Daddy's favorite old time recipes, Bier-rocks. He was so surprised he gave me my Valentine's gift early that night, a new necklace! Will have to get pics of that later.....
When Paula wasn't busy baking, cleaning, or chasing after the other kiddos you could find her curled up on the couch with
Kealy and a book! Many, many thanks to Paula for all of her help this week!!! We're so blessed to have Moms who are able to help us out.
