This afternoon I told
Madie that we could go outside and play in the snow for a little bit, and by "we" I meant her and Eric! He didn't really pack clothes for the
occasion, but obliged to take her out for a bit. I think it took them both longer to get dressed than the time they actually spent outside, but they sure had a lot of fun!!!
She really wanted to make a snowman, but the snow was too dry and wouldn't pack together.
They had to settle for some snow angels instead, and Barkley took the opportunity to pounce on Eric when he was down!
She kept trying to throw snow at Barkley, but it kept blowing back in her face and she had snow all over her little eyelashes. She was a snow princess!
After about 10 minutes at the most she said, "Daddy I'm cold, I want to go inside" and that was it!
Eric and I headed back to LS this afternoon and came home to a cold and dark house...the power was out! Not to mention there was a 3ft drift of snow in the driveway and we couldn't even get the car in. He couldn't get the
snow blower to start so he started shoveling while I called my friend, Teri, who lives across the street. Thankfully she was home and we were able to borrow hers. I felt bad sitting inside with the candles and blankets watching them work, but there was no way I was getting out there in my condition!!! As we were hopping in the car to go out to dinner the power came back on and we were able to come home to warm house! What a way to end a crazy holiday weekend. Hoping this week goes by fast, I'm ready for some more relaxation!!!!
