We had quite the day yesterday! It's been a busy week as usual and by Friday I am pretty worn out. Work was especially busy yesterday and at 830 I started having some Braxton Hicks contractions. I didn't really think much of it because I've been having them every so often for a while now, but when they just kept coming I knew it was time to take a break. So at 1030 I sat at the computer to monitor the class and the contractions subsided. We had lunch and the girls suggested I sit for the 100 class as well. It was when I was still sitting that the contractions kept coming so I thought I better call the doctor. They wanted me to go to the hospital to be monitored. GREAT!!! My co-worker, Kathy, insisted on taking me to my car in a wheel chair, and then I drove to the hospital. Eric met me there, and they monitored both me and the baby for two hours. Thankfully I was not dilating with the contractions and was able to go home with instructions to rest and drink plenty of fluids. If anyone has suggestions on how to rest with a 3 year old and a 1 year old at home please let me know!!! I am just glad that Miss K (there's your one hint on the name) decided to sit tight and cook a little longer!
We're back in St. Joe yet again this weekend. Eric's cousin, Laura, is taking maternity and family pictures for us today and this is something that I have been looking forward to for months now, so I'm really glad we didn't have to miss it. Tonight we have a wedding reception for his cousin, and then the kids will be staying with the Bahrs until Wednesday which will give us a little break and time to catch up on our rest! Really looking forward to turkey day and the chance to hang out with family and just sit back and use my growing belly as a tray for my plate of yummy food!!!
