Last night, under a harvest moon, we gathered in the parking lot of St. Mark's church to celebrate the feast of St. Francis of Assisi, lover of animals, and receive a pet blessing for our furry friend, Barkley.

Last year we missed the blessing, so we made sure to get there early this time. I was surprised to learn that they actually let all of the people and animals into the old church to gather for a little prayer service. I'm not sure who was more rowdy, the kids or the animals.

They had lots of yummy fall treats to enjoy, popcorn, caramel apples, toasty marshmallows, hot dogs, and
cider.
Kaiden was closely inspecting his cup to see if there was any popcorn left!
Madie and I took a hayride around the parking lot, while
Kaiden, Eric, and Barkley enjoyed the rest of the festivities.

One last picture next to St. Francis with Barkley giving Eric a thank-you lick!

K-man waving good-bye!
