We've been potty training Madison for a little over 2 months now and she has going to the potty down, and has even been asking us to take her. Getting her to go #2 on the potty is a different story. I've been able to catch her in the act only once in time to get her there. She is the fastest pooper I've ever seen and tonight she did it right in front of me and I didn't even see it coming!
We were playing in her room, and she was squating down playing with the "time-out cat", when she stood up and came over to me and said, "I went poop! Let's go potty!" I reached up and felt her bottom, and sure enough she had gone poop. So we went into the bathroom, pulled her pants down, which resulted in poop being smeared all down her right leg. I sat her on the toilet and began to clean her up. This is the conversation that we had while in the bathroom.
Madie: I went poop!
Me: I see that.
Madie: That's yucky.
Me: Yes, that is very yucky. This is what happens when you don't go poop on the potty. It's gross!!!
Madie: That's gross Mommy, that's gross
Me: Yes, that is very gross
Madie: That's a BIG yucky, that's BIG! (Don't ask me how a 2 year old knows what a big or small yucky is, but I swear she learned this from her Dad)
Me: Yes, it's big, now let's flush it bye-bye
Madie: Good-night yucky, gooood-niiiight. I see you later!
