Santa came early

This weekend we had our own Christmas celebration at home before the hustle and bustle of this week takes over. We went to church Saturday night so we could spend Sunday morning in our jammies opening presents. We don't have a fireplace, so Santa had to sneak in the garage door and leave some presents downstairs. I'm already looking forward to next year when hopefully the kids will be a little more into Santa. This year he left them a basketball hoop, puzzle, book, a book bag for Madie, animal book for Kaiden, and new soccer ball for Barkley.
Madison did a great job of opening her own presents this year, and she was also pretty good about helping her little brother. I loved watching her open the gifts and say "WOW" or "Sweet!" If the gift was a new book she pretended like she already knows how to read it. It was really cute.
Kaiden mostly enjoyed playing with the bows and chewing on whatever new toy he could get his little hands on. He's such a good little sharer and didn't complain when his sister snatched up whatever it was he just opened.Eric asked for a new pair of Homer slippers. He also found one of Kaiden's binkies wrapped up in another gift! I'm not sure if he got my subliminal hint that he needs to put a plug in it!!! Just kidding Eric! I was beginning to wonder where all of the binkies were disappearing to.
We spent the rest of our afternoon playing with our new toys. It'll be nice to spread out the gift unwrapping so they will hopefully have time to enjoy some of their new things.
