Shriner Circus

We took the kids to the circus today! I got tickets from a patient who is a Shriner and we ended up being in the very front row! I wasn't sure that this was necessarily a good thing because I was worried about Madie wanting to get up and run around. She was very well behaved and we all had a really good time.

The tigers were one of the first to perform. Eric was really glad he didn't wear his spandex pants or he would've had the same outfit on as the tiger tamer. His hair was pretty crazy too. Guess you have to be a little crazy to get in a cage with 6 tigers! They had everything from the tigers to trapeze artists to this lady twirling hula hoops. It was pretty interesting to watch.

Of course, probably every one's favorite were the elephants! They first came out during the intermission when you could pay to ride them, but I thought Madie was still a little bit too young for that. Instead we went to this blow-up train that was like an obstacle course you could crawl thru. She really enjoyed doing that.

It was so fun to see this look on Madie's face when something really exciting or amazing would be going on. She would clap and cheer for the performers. Even Kaiden enjoyed taking in some different sites other than the living room floor! The show lasted about 2 and a half hours and we were all ready for a nap and some lunch after that.
