Wedding, Cookies, and Wine!!!

We had a busy weekend...Friday we left work early and made a mad dash back to St. Joe for the wedding of our friends, Brad and Erica. They had a beautiful wedding at St. Francis with a reception that followed at the parish center. It was a lot of fun getting to see some old friends that we don't get to hang out with too often...but it also made for a very long day!

Saturday I took the kids to my Mom's house to bake some Halloween sugar cookies. Madison is at the age where she loves to help so I thought she would enjoy this little project. Boy was I right, and she takes after me and her Grandpa Hayes...we all love to eat the raw dough!!!

"You won't miss this extra dough will you???"

Putting on the finishing touches with Great Grandma RauthSaturday night we went to the Jacob's house for a wine tasting party! The last time Bill and Kim had a party I was pregnant with Kaiden so I couldn't partake in the tasting, so this time was a little more fun for me! Plus, we got to hang out with Darrell and Nicki, Doug and Melanie, and Gil. Kim enjoyed having a little girl around since all of her grandchildren are boys. Madie loved being in the spotlight and collected ALL of Kim's pumpkins and trick-or-treated around the house. We had a really fun time and enjoyed getting to hang out with old friends.

Sunday was church and then Paula made a delicious feast of Mexican food. We all kicked back in their new living room and watched the Chief's game before heading home.

Ella and I snuggled up in the big chair...she whispered in my ear that I was her favorite!

Shanny, Kaiden, and Christie

This week will be a busy one...Madie has to get her flu shot on Tuesday, and then our PAT person is coming in the afternoon. Sometime we have to squeeze in our pumpkin carving, so look for a poll to vote for your favorite one towards the end of this week! Meanwhile, I've got to come up with a super fantastic idea so my pumpkin will win and I can reclaim the bragging rights!!!
