Pumpkin Patch

Today we made a trip to Carolyn's Country Cousins Pumpkin Patch! (that's a mouthful) It was another beautiful day and I didn't want to miss out on the chance to take the kids when the weather was nice. We got there right as they opened, and we had a blast. This is one of my favorite things to do in the fall, and it has become a tradition in our family. I took Madie for the first time last year, and I just couldn't wait to go back.

"Let's go get some pumpkins!"
"Seriously Mom, do you think I have enough layers on?"
Madie loves trains, so we couldn't pass up a train ride.
After the train ride we took a hayride out to the pumpkin patch. They had lots to chose from, and Madison enjoyed trying to pick all of them up. "It's heavy", she would say with a smile.
Snuggled up with my Kaiden

On the hayride back from the pumpkin patch...it was really bumpy!

Picking out a smaller pumpkin...

Now I have to start working on a super spectacular idea for carving my pumpkin. We'll be hosting the 5th annual Bahr pumpkin carving contest in a couple of weeks, and I'm bound and determined to win this year!!!
