Sunday, Chip and I went to the Chiefs game with some friends of his from Omaha. I put on as many layers as possible. I felt like Randy on the Christmas Story! Our initial seats were in the shade, but after the 1st quarter we were able to move down to the first level, and sat in the sun about 20 rows back from the field. This was my first Chiefs game, as well as Chip's. We had a fun time, even if the Chiefs didn't win, but I would definitely prefer to go when it is warmer. Shanin and Brandon were also there, so I hiked over to their seats for a little visit. Eric was kind enough to stay home with Madie so that I could go, and I am sure that they snuggled up on the couch and kept warm while I was freezing my buns off!
After the game I picked up some presents I had on hold and then quickly got to work on some cookies for a party we are having tomorrow at work. Once I finished those I took a LONG, HOT shower and played with Madie until it was time for bed. This week begins the final mad dash of shopping, wrapping, and baking in preparation for Christmas. Eric will be busy at work with a project that is due at the beginning of January. I think we're all looking forward to some hopefully relaxing days with family over the holiday.
