It seems like this weekend just flew by, but we did get a lot of things done. Saturday I was feeling ambitious and got up early to head to the gym. My next stop was the grocery store before all the crazy people got out to buy their turkeys. Eric and I swapped places and he ran to Home Depot to return some of the materials he had bought for the basement that he didn't need. When he got home we raked leaves and then mowed the lawn.
By the afternoon we were all ready for a nap. I was surprised when I woke up to see that even Eric was napping on the couch. I snuck outside to put some Christmas lights up, and made it the Engineer's job to connect all the extension cords to make everything work. It was like a Griswold's Christmas because for some reason, the only outside outlet we have wouldn't work. So Eric was flipping all the breakers and checking wires before he came inside to find that one of the circuit breakers on the outlet in our bathroom was tripped. He pushed the button and waaalaaa, we had lights....or at least half of them! Half of my strands that I put around the railings in front didn't work, and some in the back didn't light up either. Guess that will teach me to test my lights first! By this time it's dark, and I didn't feel like messing with them, so that will be one of my projects this week. By 600 I was beat and ready for bed!
Today we went to church, made a quick stop by Sam's Club (more crazy people), and then headed home. Larry and Paula came up to watch the Chief's game with us. Madie, Paula, and I slept thru most of the 2nd half, but I don't think we missed much! Thankfully, Eric and Lars kept the shouting to a minimum so us girls could catch up on our beauty rest. Afterwards, we all headed to Home Depot to return some sheet rock and look at paint samples, tile, sinks, and toilets!!! Our sheet rock man, Bryan, should finish up tomorrow and we're getting anxious to start painting.
I think both Madie and I are ready for bed now. We have a busy week ahead of us with getting food ready for Thanksgiving.
